I am Ashley of Heirloom. My love for all things gardening was fueled by the incredible wisdom passed down from family. Growing up I absorbed conversation about dividing perennials, planting variety, starting seeds, when to prune. Countless hours spent as a kid at the garden center. It wasn't until I was a young adult with our first home that I realized how much I had retained and the fact that not everyone was fortunate to have that background.

Being out in the yard is a call back to earth that I always desire. When my kids were babies I would get them fed, adequately dressed (Oregon folks) to have a few minutes to work in the yard. As they have grown so have their capabilities to help and have fun growing our own food and flowers. 

 

The mission of Heirloom is to bring fresh, economical produce into your kitchen via a beautiful garden, adding joy to your life. It's a win-win, promise. My 16 year (and counting) career as an interior designer has lent me skills to plan balanced, beautiful well-thought out spaces. You can have a thriving garden, no matter the size of your space. I am here to empower you to grow your own healthy food, enjoy the view from your window and the journey of becoming a gardener! Green thumb is just a myth, these are skills that every human can absorb with an enthusiastic teacher.
